Situation: Machine for the automated cutting of Bowden cables to length: the old control system was defective, and a repair was only possible at high cost and with doubtful success.

Solution: Replacement of the old stepper motor control with operator panel by a synchronous servo motor with resolver, planetary gearbox, PLC with touchscreen, I/O module, digital servo drive and software programming. Mattke supplies the components, carries out the conversion and writes customer-specific software.

Situation: Dosing a wide variety of media (adhesives, injection solutions, foodstuffs) with tight tolerances, high repeatability and viscosity-specific suck-back at the end of dosing.

Solution: Mattke bundles its expertise in eccentric pump drives in a universal dosing control: dosing by time, quantity or start/stop, fieldbus interfaces to servo and asynchronous drives, user management with password protection, master-slave multi-component dosing.

Situation: On aircraft tripod jacks, an unintentional lowering of the already raised load must be prevented in the event of a fault (hydraulic failure).

Solution: A servo drive tracks a spindle nut on the hydraulic spindle so that the load remains secured in the event of a fault. Mattke expertise in drive technology for safety-critical ground support applications.

Situation: Outdated electronics with scarce spare parts and high maintenance effort. Abrupt starting and stopping without ramps put strain on the mechanics and comfort; diagnostic and maintenance options were limited.

Solution: Complete electrical retrofit with the mechanics unchanged: new control and drive technology with soft start/soft stop, clear diagnostics and better maintainability. Result: a modernised ride, significantly lower mechanical loads, greater ride comfort and a long-term secured supply of spare parts.

Situation: Control and drive technology had to be accommodated in a severely limited control cabinet volume. At the same time, high requirements for safety, functionality, ease of maintenance, clarity and fast troubleshooting had to be met.

Solution: Structured switchgear construction with a clear separation of power and control levels, generously dimensioned wiring ducts, unambiguous labelling and a compact arrangement of PLC, I/O and safety components. Integration of Schneider Electric frequency inverters and a large HMI touch panel. Result: maximum use of space, traceable wiring, high serviceability and operational reliability.
